Information Management (IM) Framework
Information Management (IM) Framework

Under the sponsorship of Service Alberta a corporate framework has been established to provide a disciplined approach to managing information assets that is consistent across the Government of Alberta.

Approved by the Deputy Ministers' Committee in April 2003, the Framework provides a vision and principles for the management of information assets, a set of directives for ministries to achieve, and legislation, policy, standards and practices to support ministries.

Corporate strategies and priorities, which will establish tools to support ministries in the implementation of the Framework, are being addressed through a series of initiatives led by the Information Management Advisory Committee (IMAC) under the direction of the CIO Council.
